Unveiled in Geneva in 2011, the FF — 'Ferrari Four' — marked a historic double first: the first four-wheel-drive Ferrari and the first genuine four-seater with a hatchback. Styled by Pininfarina as a shooting brake, it occupies a unique place in the range: the family Ferrari for the Alps, equally at home devouring snow-bound passes and motorways with skis and luggage aboard.

Its naturally aspirated 6.3-litre V12, producing 660bhp and howling to 8,000rpm, propels this 1,880kg grand tourer to 335km/h, with 0-100km/h dispatched in 3.7 seconds. The patented 4RM system, half the weight of a conventional four-wheel-drive transmission, only drives the front wheels in the first four gears. Succeeded by the GTC4Lusso in 2016, the FF remains Maranello's most accessible do-it-all V12.
