The 991, launched in 2011, thoroughly modernised the 911: a longer wheelbase, a lighter body, genuine GT comfort without losing precision. The GTS version, which appeared in 2014, took up the winning recipe: wide body, sports chassis, Sport Chrono Package and sports exhaust as standard — the best pleasure-to-equipment ratio in the range. Our 2015 Carrera 4 GTS Cabriolet combines four-wheel drive, an open roof and — a rare feature — the manual gearbox.

Its engine is this car's raison d'être: the naturally aspirated 3.8-litre flat-six delivering 430bhp, revving to 7,500rpm. The following generation (991.2, 2016) switched to turbocharging — making this GTS one of the very last naturally aspirated 911 Carreras ever produced. Paired with the 7-speed manual gearbox and sports exhaust, it is the most analogue modern 911 there is, and highly sought after.
