The GTS follows in the lineage of radical M3s — E36 GT, E46 CSL, E92 GTS — and was launched to mark the M3's 30th anniversary, limited to 700 examples worldwide. The world's first production car with water injection: three injectors spray distilled water into the intake to cool combustion, taking the twin-turbo S55 to 500bhp. Nürburgring lap time: 7'28 — supercar territory for a BMW coupé.

Rear roll cage, bucket seats, carbon bonnet and aero, adjustable suspension: the most extreme F82 ever produced, conceived for the track and homologated for the road. This Swiss example ticks the right boxes: full BMW service history, ceramic brakes, complete roll cage, exterior carbon. For a collector, a numbered limited series that marks a technical milestone — water injection — and the end of the era of radical M cars built in confidential numbers.
