Unveiled in April 2024 at the Beijing Motor Show, the Urus SE ushers in the first plug-in hybrid powertrain in the history of Sant'Agata's SUV. It retains the twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 architecture, revised for the occasion, and pairs it with an electric motor housed within the transmission, along with a 25.9 kWh battery positioned beneath the boot floor. Together, the system produces 800 horsepower and 950 Nm, with more than sixty kilometres claimed in pure electric running.
The SE arrives as part of the mid-life update to the Urus, launched in 2018 and swiftly established as the brand's best-selling model. Electrification serves both everyday use, silent running in town, low emissions, access to restricted zones, and outright performance, with the electric torque filling in the V8's gaps. The specialist press highlights this dual personality: a machine capable of gliding through a city centre in silence, before reclaiming the sonorous character expected of a Lamborghini.
