Bentley’s most flamboyant convertible So, what exactly is the Bentley Azure? First things first, the car first came out in 1995 and, back then, the car was the convertible version of the Continental R. In 2006, a new model was available and the car was now based on the Arnage's platform. To put things back into perspective, the Arnage is the Mulsanne's predecessor and it was already a big car. In fact, this two-door convertible is nearly 5.4 meters long, which makes it longer than a Bentayga! The Azure really came from another era… The looks were not so different from the ones of the Azure that launched 10 years earlier. The engine was the original 6.75-litres V8 that was shared with Rolls-Royce, but was now more powerful with 456 PS. Only 716 Azures were produced between 2006 and 2009 which makes it potentially highly collectible and desirable. Could it become a future classic? The Azure is a highly refined, over-engineered and super rare car and there is every reason to believe that this car might become very much sought after by collectors.
