Ferrari’s tour de force So, first things first. Why couldn't they call this car Tour De France? Because these cheeky bicyclists now own the name, so TDF it is. This car is a limited and sharper edition of the, already bonkers, F12 Berlinetta. Like the 599 GTO before it, the TDF is the extremist of the family. It is lighter, more powerful, better. The usual Maranello special recipe to make a new car a collector before it even comes out. Now, a brief history lesson. This car has actually nothing to do with France. The car wasn't produced there and the designer isn't French. It actually refers to the mythic 250 Tour De France from the 50's. A car that competed in this hardcore event that wears the same name. A very tough race that took the drivers all around the country for 10 days through mud, dirt, pavement, and eventually asphalt roads. The car had to be reliable and fast. In fact, it was and Ferrari dominated the competition three years in a row. 50 years later, the righteous homage was paid with one of the craziest Ferrari's to ever come out of Maranello. . Here, at Perego Cars we are very lucky to be able to work among prestigious cars, just like this one.
